The Company’s History

In 1960, James W. Brown started a small trucking business services in West Virginia with a single unit of a dump truck. In the early 1970, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia and established his James Brown Trucking Co., and later in 1976 he founded the James Brown Contracting, Inc., in Lithonia, Georgia.

After forty years, Mr. Brown decided to retire and to sell his trucking business. However, he wanted that the new owner will continue his legacy of providing his clients of on-time delivery, service and a committed dedication to keep the business growing at the same time will keep the company’s tradition of family oriented business practices and a great place to work. He decided to sell his company in May 2008 to the equally family oriented company, the Navigation Capital Partners, which is an Atlanta based private equity company.

Two years later, under the new owner, the James Brown Contracting acquired 5 more companies with business in brokerage, warehousing, full service leasing maintenance and dedicated and regional truckload services. The results of the acquisitions give the company more leverage for the greater benefits for its customers. Thereafter the company expands its customers, commodity base and logistical services.

Recently, in 2012, Brown Integrated Logistics was established together with its subsidiaries, Brown Logistics Services, West Logistics, Brown Fleet Services and Brown Trucking giving the company the capability to provide a world class logistics services.

The company’s operation:


The company provides regional and national truckload carrier services of all kinds of cargoes, but the company specialized on handling and delivery of paper and packaging materials, major appliances, consumer packed goods, pharmaceuticals, and building and construction materials.

Brown box truck delivery job description:

The company is in need of a box truck delivery driver. This position would require the driver of the box truck with a purpose of delivering company’s products to its customers in a timely and safe manner. The applicant has the ability to perform excellent customer services and should perform his work in accordance with the company’s Safety Preferred Work Method.

The applicant should be willing to work beyond the normal working hours. He is also willing to start working on an early morning in order to meet the daily delivery schedules and that he is willing to work on weekends or during holiday upon the request of the management or by the company’s clients.

The applicant must have the following qualifications:

  • Should be at least 25 years old.
  • Should have a minimum three (3) years Tractor/Trailer driving experience in the last 4 years prior to his application.
  • Applicants should possess a Class A CDL in good standing.
  • Must have less than three (3) moving violations under his name within the past three (3) years
  • Should have not a DWI / DUI Violations within the past seven (7) years.
